For two sets, 22-year-old Hubert Hurkacz gave Novak Djokovic all he could handle before eventually succumbing to the top seed, 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-4. Hurkacz’s huge potential was on full display, as the 6’5” Pole went shot for shot with the world No. 1 throughout the match's first two hours.

After securing the second set in a thrilling tiebreak, Hurkacz lost his focus and intensity while Djokovic, responding to the pressure, raised his level substantially。 Djokovic cruised to the finish line, winning over 60 percent of the total points in the final two sets。

With the win, Djokovic advances to the second week of Wimbledon for the 12th time; only Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors have reached the fourth round more times than the Serb.

Djokovic will face the winner of today’s Next-Gen battle between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Ugo Humbert on Monday。
